Mission Columbia: Podcast with Jeff Shipman

Our Vision

Our vision is to repeatedly give every man, woman, and child in Columbia (Lexington & Richland Counties) the opportunity to hear and understand the good news of Jesus Christ AND give every new believer the opportunity to be incorporated into a local group of believers.

Our purpose in the city of Columbia is to envision, network, train and mobilize leaders within the whole of God’s body to strategically reach the whole of the city with the whole of His gospel.

  • The whole of God’s body is every evangelical church, black, white, Hispanic, charismatic, reformed, etc. and every evangelical para-church organization, homeless shelter, prison ministry, school, etc.

  • The whole of the city is every man, woman and child whether they live downtown, in a prison, a nursing home or sub-division.

  • The whole of the gospel means we use both our hands and mouths, i.e., we care for the poor, homeless, sick, abused, old and young and as we do this we tell them about Christ.

"There is nothing so powerful and encouraging as when pastors and church leaders work together to strengthen each other and strategize on how to reach their region for Jesus Christ. Mission Columbia has been an answer to prayer that we 'all may be one' as we reach our part of the world for Him."
